HOUSTON
Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has announced its first hotel in Texas; the AAA approved Four Diamond, 485-room Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston.
Scheduled to come under Sonesta management on July 16, the full-service property sits just a few blocks away from The Galleria, an upscale destination for shopping, dining and entertainment. It is currently known as the Intercontinental Hotel Houston.
Royal Sonesta Houston will offer 50,000 square feet of function space, several dining options, a swimming pool and a 24-hour health club. The modern hotel is located near the museum and theater districts, as well as the downtown area.
