Montgomery Makeover: Regal Rebrand for Alabama Hotel

MCLEAN, Va.

DoubleTree by Hilton announced the opening of its newest location in Montgomery, Ala., the 131-room DoubleTree by Hilton Montgomery Downtown, formerly a Clarion.

The hotel has undergone a 16-month, $13 million renovation in an effort to become an upscale, full-service hotel; it is owned and operated by Ascent Hospitality.

Situated in downtown Montgomery's burgeoning entertainment district, the DoubleTree by Hilton Montgomery Downtown has been boosted by renovations to the lobby and check-in areas, complete guest room makeovers—including the addition of 43 suites—and locally-influenced food and beverage offerings.

DoubleTree by Hilton Montgomery Downtown is just 12 miles from Montgomery Regional Airport at Dannelly Field, and in close proximity to key destinations such as the state capital, the Montgomery Convention Center, RSA Towers, Alabama State University and Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base.

The hotel offers more than 6,200 square feet of flexible meeting space. Additional amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center and complimentary Wi-Fi for all guests throughout the hotel.
