Meeting planners in Illinois are awaiting the completion of the Prairie Capital Convention Center (PCCC) project in Springfield, which recently began the final phase of its $16 million renovation, expanding the lobby and upgrading meeting spaces.
The lower level contains 21,000 square feet of meeting space; 40,000 square feet of exhibition space is spread across the upper level.
The three-year project is expected to wrap up by October.
The PCCC is blocks from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Lincoln Home National Historic Site.
