ANN ARBOR, Mich.
The Holiday Inn near the University of Michigan has announced its $5 million renovation, which began last October, is nearly complete. Although the iconic blue roof and Holiday Inn sign have been removed as part of the extensive renovation, the hotel’s guest rooms, restaurant, ballroom, and lobby have been renovated.
“Since 1971, this hotel has been a northside landmark and when it’s completed in July, guests may not recognize it,” said Joe Sefcovic, general manager of the property.
A long list of other improvements include:
• Updated Ballroom
• Indoor/outdoor pool
• Lobby renovation and expansion
• Guy Hollerin’s Ann Arbor Bar & Grill
• Guest rooms
The hotel—boasting over 6,000 square feet of event space—remains open during the renovation, which is expected to be completed by July 2013.
