Events DC, the official convention and sports authority of the District of Columbia, announced the hiring of Stacey Knoppel as director of convention management at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. In this role, Knoppel will oversee the organization of conventions services through the coordination with show management, service partners and internal teams.

Kylie Kendall, Convention Services Manager, Visit Wichita

Kylie Kendall has been appointed to convention services manager for Visit Wichita. In this role, she will assist the sales team in ensuring events are a success. Kendall will be the main point of contact for corporate event planners and association officials.

Julia O’Brien, Convention sales manager, Visit Anaheim

Visit Anaheim announced the creation of a new convention sales manager position that focuses on mid-sized conventions. This addition allows the entire Visit Anaheim team to devote additional time to assist customers and fully understand their business needs.

David Hall

InterContinental San Diego announced the completion of its executive committee appointments prior to the hotel’s official opening on August 28, 2018. David Hall will be leading the team of seasoned hoteliers for the hotel as general manager.

Hilton New Orleans Riverside announced the appointments of Sarah Wexler as the new director of events and catering for the 1,622-room property. Wexler joins the hotel’s new Executive Chef Mark Quitney in leading food and beverage services and building on the success of the hotel’s meetings and events program.
