Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Debuts Guitar Hotel

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood debuted its Guitar Hotel as part of the property's $1.5 billion expansion.

Complementing the 450-foot high Guitar Hotel are a Hard Rock Live performance venue for 7,000 attendees; an expanded and updated casino with 195,000 square feet of gaming space; a 13.5-acre pool and lagoon experience with overwater cabanas; a spa and fitness center that spans 42,000 square feet; DAER nightclub and dayclub complex; more than two dozen dining, lounge and entertainment options; a collection of high-end retail stores; and more than 150,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

"The Guitar Hotel will attract visitors from throughout the nation and around the globe," said Jim Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming and Chairman of Hard Rock International. "They will experience a world-class entertainment, gaming and dining destination."

The resort is now home to three hotel towers, including the new guitar-shaped hotel tower with 638 guest rooms and the new Oasis Tower with 168 guest rooms overlooking the new pool lagoon. The property also has a 465-room, 12-story hotel tower.

The expansion of the casino gaming floor will bring nearly 200 table games and more than 3,000 slot machines to the property. The new, 30,000-square-foot casino will include a new High Limit Slots room and new non-smoking gaming rooms for both slots and high-limit slots.

The completion of the expansion project brings a total of 19 concept restaurants and 20 bars, inclusive of nightlife outlets and restaurant bars.

New are a contemporary Italian restaurant; a solid fuel grilling concept; new 24-hour restaurant; buffet with a variety of menu selections and live action stations; and coffee shop with baked goods made in house daily. There is also a new Lobby Bar and a new Center Bar.

The new 7,000-capacity Hard Rock Live entertainment venue will host A-List acts, nationally televised awards shows, sporting events and private events.

The hotel now offers 120,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 38,000-square-foot exhibition hall. Adjacent are prefunction spaces that features vaulted ceilings, ballrooms and marbled atriums.

The property’s meeting space can be reconfigured to accommodate groups as large as 5,000 attendees or smaller, more intimate meetings for 15 people.

The 13.5-acre pool lagoon opened with three distinct waterfront areas, including a beach-style experience, created with locally sourced Florida sand; a private, tropical lagoon-style setting amidst waterfalls and palms; and a large water expanse, nearly as long as three football fields, that will offer water activities such as canoeing and paddleboarding.

The debut of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Guitar Hotel follows the completion of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa expansion earlier in October. The project also added a new hotel tower and three pools to the property.
