Florida
  • Brad Cance was named general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, which at press time was closed while it completes a $60 million expansion project. Cance is responsible for managing the hotel’s January re-opening and daily operations post-opening. He joins the resort from The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, where he served as general manager for the previous two years… The Hyatt Key West Resort & Marina announced the appointment of Susan Santiago as its new general manager. Santiago is responsible for all aspects of the hotel’s operations, including presiding over the property’s current $9 million renovation, scheduled for completion in the spring. Santiago has been with the Hyatt Corporation for more than 14 years, most recently serving as corporate food and beverage director, responsible for overseeing operations of the food and beverage division for all of Hyatt’s domestic properties.

Louisiana
  • New Orleans Fine Hotels, a collection of nine locally owned hotels, announced the addition of Shelley Cambre as director of group sales. Cambre will oversee the group sales and marketing effort for the New Orleans Fine Hotels’ portfolio, including the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel. She has 17 years of hotel experience in New Orleans, most recently as director of sales for the Doubletree/Hilton Hotels Corporation… The New Orleans CVB appointed Elizabeth George, CMM, as sales manager for the bureau’s newly created Northeast regional office. George, who will be working from her home office in Sag Harbor, N.Y., has served as the manager of Global Chapter Relations and Development for MPI since 2002 and was previously the regional director of marketing for Meadowlands Regional Sales, where she headed all sales and marketing efforts for three Marriott properties in northeastern New Jersey.

Virginia
  • The Alexandria-based National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) named Patti Rouzie vice president, membership and meetings. Rouzie is responsible for the association’s revenue, which is drawn from NBWA’s membership dues, the association’s annual convention and biennial trade show, and other programs and services. Rouzie is also responsible for developing programming and marketing materials for managing association’s membership development, the NBWA Board of Directors’ committees, Board elections, the NBWA Membership Needs Survey, and the development of the association’s strategic plan. She was promoted from her position as NBWA’s director of membership and meetings.
