- Southern California’s Disneyland Resort recently celebrated the opening of Stage 17, a 10,000-square-foot meeting and event venue located in the Hollywood Pictures section of Disneyland’s California Adventure Park. Stage 17 is the first dedicated meeting and event venue to be located inside one of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. The new facility is available for groups during the theme park’s regular operating hours, whereas all other themed attractions and locations in the park are only available or private functions after the park closes to the public. Stage 17, which can accommodate a banquet for up to 600 people, a reception for up to 900 or can be subdivided for smaller events or breakouts, is equipped with a moveable stage, hanging video projection screens, configurable lighting, modern audiovisual capabilities, a built-in production booth, and an on-site food preparation area. - To celebrate the recent launch of Business Aloha.com, a new online resource for meeting planners interested in booking meetings and conventions in Hawaii, the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) and the Hawaii Convention Center (HCC) are offering significant savings at the convention center and resort properties throughout the state for clients that register for “BusinessAloha.com Giveaways” by March 31. The HCC Giveaway provides a 50 percent discount off the convention center’s rate card and $50,000 worth of destination services for new bookings finalized by Dec. 31.
