What are three of the hottest dining experiences you would recommend for groups visiting Miami?
  • Wish: My absolute top pick is Wish, located in The Hotel in South Beach. Truly my wish is their command when I bring groups to this venue. Besides an incredible ambience (the hotel was decorated by Todd Oldham), they’ve got both a rooftop swimming pool (overlooking the ocean on the fourth floor) and lounge (Spire Bar), which offer reception locations and a great flow with different perspectives for a group event. Wish’s cuisine is a fusion of contemporary American and Asian, and their ability to provide me with group menus while still maintaining outstanding service, presentation and quality is out of this world.

  • Touch Tropical Grille: In addition to over-the-top food presentations, taste and service, the venue itself is phenomenal. Located right on Lincoln Road, the space was previously a synagogue, so it features original tile work on the floor that brings you back to old Miami; however, the venue was completely updated to accommodate the dining needs of this new century. The “touch” concept is a sensory experience, with shellacked burlap table tops, freeze-dried palm trees surrounding the bar, extensive built-in lighting, and live tribal percussions accompanying the house DJ.

  • Blue Door at the Delano: Besides being one of the sexiest hotels on the beach, the Delano’s restaurant, The Blue Door, has great space to work with for groups. A terrace that overlooks a seemingly endless swimming pool and a private room that seats up to 75 along with the main interior restaurant make this an ideal venue for groups of 10 to 200. The cuisine is French with Brazilian and other global influences. Candles throughout the facility give a sexy glow to the entire restaurant.
