What are your group restaurant recommendations?

Our in-house restaurant, Danielli, the only Four Diamond restaurant in the city, offers continental cuisine. Also, I recommend Indianapolis’ steakhouse staple, St. Elmo. It’s a place with great ambience and offers the largest wine cellar in the state. Dunaways is another Indy original, with rooftop dining.

What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?
A popular place for cocktail hour is Nicky Blaine’s, located right on Monument Circle. Both cozy and swanky, locals and visitors pack the bar for live jazz and a menu featuring more than 30 martinis and a fine cigar collection. Oceanaire offers a great wine selection and its bar comes alive in the evening. Both are within walking distance of the convention center.

What should we definitely check out nearby?
Home to the Indianapolis 500, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway should not be missed. Its Hall of Fame Museum is open year-round, touting a collection of antique and present-day race cars. They also offer a behind the scenes tour of the pits and finish line.

A delegate has one hour to spend exploring the city. What would you suggest?
The NCAA Hall of Champions museum is very unique and fun for any age. I also recommend the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. All three are within walking distance of downtown and have nationally traveling exhibits.
