  • The St. Regis Resort, Fort Lauderdale is scheduled to open May 1. Part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury Collection, the $210 million, 21-story property is the first new resort to be built on Palm Beach County’s Singer Island in 20 years.   • The Skirvin Hilton Oklahoma City opened in late February. The ornate and grand downtown hotel, which originally opened in 1911 (four years after statehood) but had been boarded up for nearly 20 years, completed an 18-month, $55 million property-wide renovation prior to opening. Situated in the heart of Oklahoma City’s revitalized downtown, adjacent to the Cox Convention Center and within short walking distance of downtown Oklahoma City’s Ford Center Arena, Bricktown Ballpark, and Bricktown Canal and Entertainment District, the hotel features 225 guest rooms and suites, each outfitted with wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, a 42-inch plasma-screen television and other modern comforts.   • The Williamsburg Lodge is now fully reopened following three years of Colonial Williamsburg visitor improvements that cost more than $220 million. The Williamsburg Lodge now features 323 new or renovated guest rooms, including 126 guest rooms in brand-new Federal Style guest houses, and a newly built state-of-the-art conference center with 45,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 12,000-square-foot ballroom and a 7,000-square-foot ballroom, 28 meeting rooms and four outdoor function areas.
