- The Boca Raton Resort and Club (561.395.3000; www.bocaresort.com) is in the midst of a multimillion-dollar enhancement program to refresh the property’s decor, upgrade the Beach Club and renovate its multiroom units, the Boca Bungalows. In addition, the 23,000-square-foot Great Hall Convention Center was recently refurbished with new carpeting and custom window treatments. In all, the 1,043-room property boasts 146,000 square feet of meeting space.
- The 310-room Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach (561.533.6000; www.ritzcarlton.com) reopened in March after closing for a $60 million renovation and expansion that included the addition of three new restaurants plus an outdoor terrace for cocktails and light bites; a new tranquility pool with arcing fountains; and $100,000 worth of amenities in each room, including the latest techno gadgets, oceanview soaking tubs and “rain tile” showers.
- The Resort at Singer Island (561.340.1700; www.starwoodhotels.com) opened April 10. The property features 239 suites, 4,000 square feet of meeting space, an 8,500-square-foot spa, and premium amenities like butler service.
- The PGA National Resort and Spa (561.627.2000; www.pgaresort.com) in Palm Beach Gardens recently renovated its Champion course to make way for the Honda Classic, which descended on the resort in February and will return for the next six years. In addition to five championship golf courses, the 339-room resort offers a 33,000-square-foot health and racquet club, five professional croquet lawns, a lakefront pool, and 34,000 square feet of meeting facilities.
Treasure Coast
- Newly opened and adjacent to PGA Village in Port St. Lucie is the Hilton Garden Inn at PGA Village (772.871.6850; www.hgiportstlucie.com), with 130 rooms and suites, a full-service restaurant and 1,600 square feet of meeting space, including a formal boardroom.
- SpringHill Suites Port St. Lucie (772.871.2929; www.springhillsuites-portstlucie.com) just completed a refurbishment of all 105 guest rooms, including beds and soft goods, and will add new in-room furniture this summer. The property is connected to a 2,500-square-foot catering building, available for group functions.
- The Courtyard by Marriott Jensen Beach (772.229.1000; www.courtyardhutchinsonisland.com) recently completed a top-to-bottom renovation that added six luxury suites, among other enhancements. The 110-room property offers a 600-square-foot boardroom accommodating up to 20 people.
