What are three of the best experiences you would recommend for groups visiting Palm Beach County?
- Air and Sea Charters: The first pick is definitely cruising on the water. Air and Sea Charters is a great company with great people. They have two catamarans and high-powered, twin-hull race boats. What better way to see Florida? What makes this company so wonderful is that they are willing to work with you, to the extent that they will even try out something new just because you asked them to. The catamaran sailing yachts depart from Boca Raton or Palm Beach and sail to an area in the Intracoastal Waterway, where they drop anchor. The activity of your choice is then delivered to the catamaran, including high-speed powerboat thrill rides, snorkeling, wave-runners, and kayaking. This is what Florida is all about! In addition, team-building activities also can be arranged. Each vessel features a spacious covered bar and lounge area. Their “stairway-to-the-sea” is perfect for disembarking into the water safely. The Island Breeze features a small glass-bottom viewing area, which is great for taking in some of the coral reefs on the snorkeling charters. An optional calypso or reggae band sets the perfect musical tone for your adventure on the waves.
- Ragtops Motorcars: A one-of-a-kind venue located in West Palm Beach, Ragtops Motorcars is basically an 80-year-old car dealership specializing in vintage cars—from Packards to ‘50s and ‘60s American muscle cars—that also doubles as a car museum and unique event facility. The owners have decorated the function rooms in authentic “Americana style.” This museum is a party waiting to happen. If you have a party at Ragtops, plan on the night ending later than you thought it would.
- Norton Museum of Art: The best museum for groups, in my opinion, is the Norton Museum of Art. They will tailor their presentations and tours to reflect the interests of each particular group. The setting of this venue is user-friendly, they have a wonderful gift shop, and their Cafe 1451 serves delicious food. For a museum of its size, they’re able to showcase the types of exhibits usually reserved for larger museums.
