- El Convento is a restored 17th century Carmelite convent that has since been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel known as Hotel El Convento. An imposing entryway with hanging tapestries leads to a courtyard, perfect for cocktail parties. Galeria San Juan
- The Gallery Inn at Galeria San Juan serves as the private residence of accomplished local painter and sculptor Jan D’Esopo and her husband. D’Esopo purchased the 300-year-old, colonial-style home in 1961, when it was in ruins. Today the inn features archways, brickwork, a wine deck, and tropical gardens and fountains, as well as the artist’s works, including original paintings, silk-screens, terracotta reliefs, and bronzes. There are also seven working studios on the premises. Groups can use the conference room and dining rooms, and host cocktail parties or full-course meals. Casa Blanca
- Once the home of Juan Ponce de Leon, Puerto Rico’s first governor, Casa Blanca served as the family’s residence for 250 years. The Spanish military took control of the house in 1779, and the U.S. later used Casa Blanca as a residence for military commanders, from roughly 1898-1966. Wandering the gardens and views of the harbor and La Fortaleza are highlights.
