- Holiday Inn Select Houston West was renamed the Crowne Plaza Houston West. The 344-room, 20-story property will undergo a $4.4 million renovation, including an upgrade of its 32 Club Floor guest rooms. Club Floor guests will also have access to a private lounge with workspace and sitting areas. The renovation also calls for the addition of a Presidential Suite with an oversized bedroom and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a walk-in closet, and living and dining areas. - Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center ended the first phase of its $6.5 million makeover with the May 1 completion of 150 of its guest rooms. Renovation of the final 181 rooms is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2008. The Doubletree property, originally built in 1882 and last refurbished in 1995, is spending $19,000 per room.
