  • The Hilton Charlotte Center City unveiled its completely refurbished $25 million property, which features updated guest rooms and suites. The centerpiece of each room is a 42-inch plasma-screen TV equipped with wireless Bluetooth technology. In addition, the hotel has redecorated its 30,000 square feet of conference and banquet space.   • The $40 million Westin Memphis Beale Street Hotel, a nine-story, 203-room upscale property, debuted in April. The Westin features nine meeting rooms totaling 6,768 square feet of space and a 3,030-square-foot ballroom. Wireless high-speed Internet access is available throughout all meeting and public areas of the hotel as well as in its guest rooms.   • Dallas’ Hilton Anatole recently converted its Stemmons Auditorium into the Stemmons Ballroom, an 8,300-square-foot oval-shaped ballroom. The transformation marks the beginning of the property’s $40 million renovation, which will also include a makeover of its 700 Tower guest rooms and the Chantilly Ballroom over the next year. The new Stemmons Ballroom can accommodate guests in a variety of settings, including 660 guests banquet style, 765 theater style, 920 for receptions, and nearly 570 classroom style. Other plans call for the renovation of the prefunction space in the atrium outside the ballroom, which will translate to 9,840 square feet of event space.
