The Great White (Branson) Way

More Coverage

Branson has long enjoyed a reputation as the place to see live, first-class, family-friendly entertainment, from variety and comedy shows to Broadway-style musicals. Often compared to Las Vegas (except with a focus on kid-appropriate entertainment), Branson also has its version of the “Las Vegas Strip” with Highway 76—home to many of the destination’s musical venues.

Following are a few Branson theaters—both on and off the “strip”—that cater to groups.

The Mansion

(417.239.1333; www.themansiontheatre.com)
Located on Route 248, The Mansion Entertainment and Media Center offers visitors a 3,000-seat theater featuring several shows daily, including The Promise, a performance showcasing the life of Jesus Christ; and Celebrate America, a Broadway-style musical highlighting the past 200 years of U.S. history. Starting this year, The Mansion has begun to attract big-name entertainment such as Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins and Bill Cosby. Discounted tickets are available for groups of more than 20 people, and the theater is also available for group events and meetings.

Baldknobbers Country Music Theatre

(417.334.4528; www.baldknobbers.com)
Originating in 1959, Baldknobbers Jamboree Show began with four brothers from the Mabe family performing a country music and comedy show for the public. Today, the well-known show still features younger members of the Mabe family six nights a week in a 1,500-seat theater. Planners can book show seat blocks for up to 300 people or buy out the entire facility for a night and have the show all to themselves. Groups can also rent out the auditorium for daytime meetings.

Presleys’ Country Jubilee

(417.334.4874; www.presleys.com)
Celebrating its 40th year on Highway 76, Presleys’ Country Jubilee entertains visitors in Branson with a show six nights a week. A mix of country, bluegrass, gospel, and comedy, the show features four generations of the Presley family onstage. The 1,500-seat theater often accommodates groups of up to 1,000 people and allows for daytime usage of the theater for meeting purposes.

The White House Theatre

(417.335.2396; www.bransonwhitehousetheatre.com)
Featuring not only two popular shows, but also breakfast and dinner, The White House Theatre is a favorite of many groups that come to Branson. Early risers can start their day at 8 a.m. with a musical and comedy performance named the Dixieland Breakfast Show. In the evening, the venue hosts its Magnificent Seven Variety Show, highlighting seven decades of music. In addition, the property’s West Wing houses an 8,300-square-foot conference center, which hosts groups of up to 650 people.
