Describe your event.
In May, we had a day meeting of about 40 clients and prospective clients at the new Wytheville Meeting Center in Wytheville. They drove in from points in West Virginia, North Carolina and Virginia.
Why did you decide to host the meeting in Wytheville?
We chose the center because it is a brand-new facility in a great location, at the intersection of two interstates. That made it very convenient for us and our clients. Also, the center has a picturesque site with views of the mountains—very nice.
What surprised you the most?
The people at the center were into top-notch customer service. We’ve been many places and know great service when we see it. They greeted our clients, brought us laptops for checking e-mail, and so on. In short, it was a lot of individual attention for us and our customers. I don’t expect great customer service anymore in very many places, but there we got it.
What did your attendees seem to enjoy the most?
The convenience of the location for everyone—definitely. Also, the catering was excellent. We enjoyed a buffet of pasta, salads and desserts.
Would you return?
Yes. We are talking about dates for this fall.
