- Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is slated to open this October across the street from the San Diego Convention Center. The 12-story, 315,000-square-foot property will feature 420 suites, including 17 Rock Star Suites, a 40-foot lobby lounge and rooftop pool bar, and a high-end spa. One suite is being designed by the Grammy Award-winning Black Eyed Peas. The hotel will also feature 40,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space. - The former Hyatt Regency Islandia is undergoing a $60 million transformation, including a name change to the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina. The renovation, scheduled for a September completion, includes updated guest rooms, a full-service spa, multiple swimming pools with waterslides, a new waterfront signature restaurant, and a redesigned lobby. - Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, in Riverside, is undergoing a renovation to its guest rooms, public space, meeting and conference rooms, and spa. - The Big Island’s Hilton Waikoloa Village completed most phases of a three-year, $90 million upgrade, with updated rooms and property-wide improvements. Hilton Waikoloa Village’s 1,240 guest rooms were a $21 million project alone.
