What are three great off-site venues that reflect San Antonio’s rich cultural heritage?
  • Southwest School of Art and Craft: I love taking our guests over to the see the Southwest School of Art and Craft, as the incredible charm and history sells itself. The Ursuline Academy was established in 1851 “for the education of young ladies of refinement” and remained a convent until 1900. Later in the 1960s, the beautiful Southwest School of Art and Craft was formed and has provided a gorgeous backdrop for countless weddings and events for many years. The highlights of this historic site are the elegant architecture of the two-story buildings, which are constructed of local limestone; the beautiful chapel, with some of the original stained-glass windows made in France; and the surrounding gardens and courtyards. The chapel, gardens, courtyards, and patios provide a beautiful, serene setting for receptions of up to 700 people using all of the areas, or for seated dinners for up to 220 people inside the chapel.

  • Sunset Station: This great venue was founded in 1902 as a train station and holds the rich history of San Antonio’s railroading past. It is now a unique entertainment district. The renovated train station is reminiscent of San Antonio’s missions, with a stucco finish and baked red-tile roof. A large, intricate, stained-glass window graces the front of the depot and stands out as the crown jewel of the entire complex. Guests love the limitless options of Sunset Station, and it features ideal space for groups of from 100 people to 3,000 people. The restored complex features the 1902 train depot, a giant covered pavilion, a beautiful outdoor terraced courtyard, and other historical buildings that flow into the courtyard and pavilion. We have planned everything from upscale VIP dinners in the depot to a multi-themed “blowout” party that encompassed the whole footprint of Sunset Station.

  • Pearl Stable: Pearl Stable is our newest venue, and we can’t be any more excited due to its amazing charm and history. It has kept the memories strong for anyone who has ever been to San Antonio and had a Pearl beer. A home to Pearl Brewery’s hard-working draft horses in the late 18th century, today Pearl Stable provides a uniquely elegant site for corporate events. The stable has been renovated to preserve the charm and integrity of the original structure, while providing state-of-the-art lighting, sound and communication technologies for meetings, receptions, dinners, and entertainment, or any other event for 500 people or less inside, or over 1,000 using the outside as well. Pearl Stable provides you with exclusive use of your very own Texas-chic hospitality venue.
