Today’s attendee demands customization, and anyone who’s experienced the recent educational offerings of the top meetings industry associations have surely busied their fingers punching in preferences on audience response system (ARS) keypads.

The most recent MPI WEC, in Montreal, actually included an ARS system in all of its registration packets that was little larger than a credit card. The technology allowed seminar participants to vote instantly on various topics of interest, and helped speakers tailor their presentations to provide exactly what the audience wanted. Check out our “The New Rules of Engagement” story on page 42, and stay “tuned” for further advances of this and other tech tools that will help you deliver the content your attendees select.

Also, turn to page 46 to discover what hotels and resorts made the 2007 Best of the South Awards list. The list is also available on our website, at www.meetingstoday.com/plannerspicks.

We hope this compilation of star performers helps narrow your site selection process, or opens your eyes to properties you may have overlooked.
