  • Grand Hyatt San Antonio (210.224.1234; www.grandsanantonio.hyatt.com) will debut in February next to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The property will feature 1,000 guest rooms and 79,000 square feet of function space.

  • JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa (210.403.3434; www.jwsanantonio.com) is slated to open in 2010 with 1,002 guest units, 138,000 square feet of meeting space and a championship golf course.

  • Hotel Indigo at the Alamo (www.hotelindigo.com) is scheduled to open in April with 91 guest rooms as well as meeting facilities. The property will be housed in the circa-1909 Gibbs Building.

  • Hotel Contessa (210.229.9222; www.thehotelcontessa.com) is one of the latest properties to open along the San Antonio River Walk. The property features 265 suites, more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a 1,700-square-foot spa.

  • Marriott San Antonio Rivercenter (210.554.6060; www.marriott.com) and Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk (210.224.4555; www.marriott.com) are undergoing multimillion-dollar renovations to meeting facilities and public spaces. Work is scheduled to be finished by mid-2008.

  • The St. Anthony, A Wyndham Historic Hotel (210.227.4392; www.wyndham.com) plans to complete a $12 million renovation to meeting facilities, guest rooms and public space in early 2008.

  • Hyatt Regency Riverwalk (210.222.1234; www.sanantonioregencyhyatt.com) recently unveiled a 2,700-square-foot spa as well as high-tech check-in and check-out kiosks.

  • El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel (210.223.9461; www.eltropicanohotel.com) recently finished a multimillion-dollar restoration that transformed the 306-room property into a Mexican-style resort, complete with folk art, exotic birds, a winding staircase, and mosaic artwork.

  • Sheraton Gunter Hotel (210.227.3241; www.sheraton.com) recently finished a $7 million restoration and plans to unveil an additional 4,000 square feet of meeting space in early 2008.

  • The Westin La Cantera Resort (210.558.6500; www.westin.com/lacantera) recently added Casita Village, bringing the property’s total room count to 508. Nestled among mesquite and oak trees, the 39 new casitas feature private patios, fireplaces and marble bathrooms.

  • San Antonio International Airport (www.sanantonio-airport.com) plans to finish a $636 million renovation in 2010 that includes new terminals and additional parking.
