What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?

As a full-service conference center with 52,000 square feet of meeting space, three restaurants, 27 holes of championship golf, two heated outdoor pools, and a spa with nine treatment rooms, the Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is uniquely positioned to handle a group’s every need. In addition to the conference facilities, the resort features an authentic tipi with a Native American storyteller during the summer months. Although the tipi is primarily for children, it has also housed wine and cheese parties for small groups. In the pool area, there are fire pits available year-round with Adirondack chairs that are perfect for socializing over drinks during the mild Colorado evenings.

What are your group restaurant recommendations?
In addition to both our fine dining restaurant, Meritage, and the elegant, glass-enclosed private dining room specifically reserved for groups, the golf course restaurant, Fairways, can be reserved, providing a getaway without leaving the resort. Nearby Boulder provides a mecca of independent restaurants with well-known chef-owners who are happy to host groups from the Omni Interlocken Resort.

What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?
The Tap Room, with its pub-like atmosphere, pool tables and flat-screen televisions, opens up onto a patio overlooking the pool area. In nearby Boulder, The Reef, with dueling piano entertainment, is great for groups.

Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?
Each week at the Omni Interlocken Resort, we post a recommended Hike of the Week. Located just outside the foothills of the Flatiron Mountains, the area surrounding the Omni is perfect for easy and moderate hikes. For those wishing to take a more leisurely walk, the Interlocken Office Park provides scenic views of the nearby foothills.

Are there any quirky places we should check out?
Nearby is the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Laboratory, which houses hands-on exhibits and a weather trail for visitors seven days a week (free admission). Eldorado Springs is also a short drive away, and features a natural hot spring pool and excellent rock climbing. It’s fun to sit and watch the rock climbers scale the natural environs.

If we only have an hour or two, what should we definitely check out nearby?
The beautiful town of Boulder is only nine miles from the Omni Interlocken, and its pedestrian Pearl Street Mall with shops, boutiques and restaurants is not to be missed. Home of the University of Colorado, Boulder is nestled in the Flatiron Mountains.

hat is an unusual request from a group?
Recently, the entire resort was booked for an unusual 40th birthday party. The meeting space was transformed into a Paris street market with thousands of imported fresh flowers. The Omni catering staff created a weekend celebration from start to finish that included a golf tournament, outdoor pool activities, a barbecue in the resort’s outdoor pavilion, and the birthday celebration itself in the ballroom with live music and elegant decor.

A party of 12 wants to have dinner right away. What restaurant can accommodate last-minute requests of this size?
Favorite restaurants to call outside the resort include Trattoria on Pearl in Boulder, or either Bloom or Village Tavern in the next-door FlatIron Crossing Village.

What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?
When he first began hosting a Celebrity Pro-Am golf tournament, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway made the Omni Interlocken Resort and Golf Courses its home. Athletes from every sport converged on the resort to play in the Elway Classic, and dine at the tournament-ending banquet.
