Maryland
  • The Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center is undergoing an expansion that entails the addition of 225 guest rooms contained in a new wing. The new wing will double the capacity of the property, bringing the total number of guest rooms to 450.   • Pre-sales efforts at the Hilton Baltimore Convention Center hotel are under way. The Hilton Baltimore, when completed in fall 2008, will be the only hotel attached via a sky bridge to the Baltimore Convention Center and will feature 62,000 square feet of interior space, including 757 guest rooms.   • Wyndham Hotels and Resorts recently took over management of the 364-room Lakeside Princeton Conference Center & Hotel in Plainsboro, and renamed it The Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Hotel & Conference Center. The facility recently completed a multimillion-dollar upgrade to its guest rooms, lobby, public spaces, infrastructure, and exterior.   • The 122-room Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, part of The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester luxury condominium towers, is slated to debut in December. The 10-story luxury hotel will feature a 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness center and over 9,000 square feet of meeting space, including five meeting rooms, an executive boardroom and a 500-person ballroom.   • The 12-story, 473-room Crowne Plaza hotel at the Toronto Pearson International Airport, formerly a Park Plaza, recently debuted as the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport. The property is undergoing over $10 million of improvements, including a new club floor, 24 new one- and two-bedroom suites, a new restaurant, and a new fitness center. The hotel currently offers an indoor pool with a whirlpool, Wi-Fi access in guest rooms and public spaces, and 12,500 square feet of meeting space, including 12 meeting rooms.   • A $100 million renovation and repositioning of the downtown Marriott Wardman Park Hotel is currently under way.
