  • The Hilton Anaheim marked the completion of the first phase of a multimillion-dollar renovation with the reopening of the twin 28,500-square-foot California and Pacific ballrooms. The property is investing more than $60 million in upgrades to guest rooms, meeting areas and public spaces. The hotel’s 51 meeting breakout rooms are scheduled to be upgraded next, while the renovation of the first floor of guest rooms is nearly complete, and will continue floor-by-floor through August.   • Four Points by Sheraton recently opened a new hotel in Sacramento, the Four Points by Sheraton Sacramento International Airport Hotel, with 100 guest rooms.   • RockResorts is slated to debut the Arrabelle at Vail Square in Vail this month. The hotel will feature 36 guest rooms and 50 condominiums as well as 67 residences and penthouses. Meeting facilities will feature a conference center with a 2,622-square-foot grand ballroom that can be split into two rooms, four additional meeting rooms ranging from 483 to 884 square feet, and prefunction space.   • The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui is slated to reopen in January following a $130 million makeover that required the resort to close last summer. The upgrades include 445 remodeled guest rooms, club-level accommodations and the addition of one- and two-bedroom residential suites, all with flat-screen televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi access. A completely redone spa will be double the size of the old space, with 14,000 square feet and 15 treatment rooms, and the hotel lobby is also expanding. The $10 million first phase of remodeling includes an upgrade of all the resort’s guest rooms and lobby area, as well as the Catalina and Sonoran ballrooms. The 4,000-square-foot Catalina Ballroom was completed last November. The resort’s Sonoran Ballroom and smaller meeting rooms will also receive an upgrade and its 244 suite-sized guest rooms will be remodeled to include 42-inch plasma televisions.
