What are three great ways to experience the nightlife of Dallas?
Dallas is experiencing a renaissance citywide, and more than $12 billion in new and ongoing development just in the urban core offers a stellar selection of new dining, shopping, entertainment, and cultural options for visitors. Nightlife is always jumping in Big D. Dallas offers 13 entertainment districts in and near downtown, each with its own special personality and flair, plus world-class art, shopping and dining. Together, they make the “Dallas difference.”
- Victory Park: Spend an evening in the brand-new Victory Park entertainment district. Attend a concert, NBA basketball or NHL ice hockey game, or another event at American Airlines Center. Then stop by AT&T Victory Plaza to dine at N9NE Steakhouse, Nove Italiano, Victory Tavern, or Tom Colicchio’s Craft in the W Dallas-Victory hotel. For a perfect finale, visit Ghostbar atop the W hotel, where DJs spin every style of music.
- Deep Ellum: Deep Ellum, a blues and jazz scene in the 1920s, now offers avant-garde cuisine, bars and live music. The area is popular by day for business lunches and bustling at night with club-goers. Restaurants such as Izmir Mediterranean Tapas and Monica’s Aca y Alla, with its live music on weekends and 75-cent margaritas on Wednesdays, accent the diverse vibe throughout the district. Nightclubs range from jazz to reggae, rap, R&B, and top 40s, giving visitors a range of choices.
- Uptown: For a more laid-back evening, Uptown provides opportunities to meet friends, relax, sip wine, and enjoy the scene. Experience the hip and eclectic Hotel ZaZa, with its exclusive clientele and exotic Dragonfly restaurant. Hotel Crescent Court offers sophistication with excellent dining at Nobu or Bice and an after-dinner cocktail. Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, the only Mobil Five Star hotel in Texas, recently debuted the $5 million renovation of its bar and restaurant, adding a contemporary touch to the elegant, historic former home.
