It’s 2008, and the results of our annual Meetings Market Trends Survey are in!
We had more than 600 respondents complete this year’s survey, and more meeting planners agreed to be contacted later to flesh out their opinions than for any previous survey we’ve done.
While it’s no secret that the seller’s market is continuing to chug along, many respondents, and the top industry analyst we interviewed for the story, which can be found on our website, MeetingsFocus.com, expressed concern that general economic uncertainty may cause a ripple effect through the industry.
While it holds true that companies and associations will always need to meet face to face, many respondents felt that meetings such as training programs would stand the greatest chance of being cut if corporate coffers suffer.
Because of all the responses agreeing to a follow-up interview, we decided to post a list of key questions and meeting planner answers to them.
Just access the site and click on the “just the facts” box on the home page, and that will lead you to a long list of interesting answers from the respondents and additional poll results.
