Describe your event.
The ICLEF provides continuing legal education to the practicing bar of Indiana. One of our most current meetings was held in the Taggart Room at French Lick Resort Casino for approximately 50 attendees.

Why did you decide to host the meeting at the French Lick Resort Casino?
With the extensive renovation of the French Lick Springs Hotel, the West Baden Springs Hotel and the addition of a casino, French Lick has become our organization’s get-away destination of choice.

What surprised you the most?
The amount of detail that went into renovating the French Lick Springs and West Baden Springs resorts. From the period pieces of furniture to the gold leaf details in the lobby to the restored 100-foot domed atrium at the West Baden Springs Hotel, I cannot say enough about this Indiana historical treasure that has been restored to its original grandeur.

What did your attendees seem to enjoy the most?
The small-town feel, the unhurried atmosphere and the comfort of the rooms.

Was anybody particularly helpful?
The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Is there anything you wish you had known beforehand?
Nothing; the service was flawless.

What other types of groups would fit well with the property?
With the additional meeting space added during the renovation, both of these properties would be well suited for anything from a small executive retreat to a large company gathering.

How does French Lick Resort Casino compare to other places where you have hosted meetings?
Our organization produces nearly 100 meetings annually in cities and towns throughout Indiana. We have used some of the finest hotels and convention facilities in Indiana for our meetings. French Lick Springs Hotel and the West Baden Springs Hotel are the finest overall facilities that I have used.

Would you return? Absolutely—in fact we have already booked five meetings to be held at the French Lick Springs Hotel for 2008.

Do you have any advice for other planners who might bring a meeting to French Lick Resort Casino?
If you want to truly experience classic Hoosier hospitality, French Lick Springs Hotel and the West Baden Springs Hotel are the places to go.
