What are three great team-building experiences you would recommend for groups visiting Lake Tahoe?

  • The Hunt for Bigfoot: This is the perfect theme for a group snowmobile excursion at Lake Tahoe. The guests are divided into teams with a list of clues and a professional snowmobile guide. In the Himalayas it is known as the “Yeti.” Native Americans called it “Sasquach.” Here in the Sierra Nevada it is known as “Bigfoot.” Is it a big, shaggy animal left from some prehistoric age, or is it some type of humanoid that peers at us from the latest horror film? Groups can come to Lake Tahoe and find the answers to this phenomenon of the high mountains.

  • Treasures of the Golden West: This is a day for the great outdoors, fun and competition, the day for teams to pull together and become working units. Groups will not only have a great time on this treasure hunt, but learn some Nevada history and meet some of Nevada’s colorful characters from the past. Groups will learn about the Comstock Lode, throw a real cow pie, and even get the chance to stop by the famous Nevada ranches. This event has been done for corporate groups and even for 150 active-duty military personnel.

  • Fishing Derby on Lake Tahoe: Lake Tahoe offers some of the best fresh-water fishing in the entire Western U.S. The lake abounds with rainbow trout, Mackinaw trout and kokanee salmon. The guests are broken up into teams and there are several versions of this event. The winning team is judged not only by their catch but by the biggest one that got away.
