  • British Columbia’s Art Gallery of Greater Victoria will be featuring an Andy Warhol exhibit, Warhol: Larger than Life, which examines the entirety of the artist’s career. With an expansive exhibit of over 150 paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, photographs, and films spanning four decades, it will run from May 30 to Aug. 4.   • The San Diego Wine and Culinary Center recently expanded with an extra 3,500 square feet, doubling its capacity to 7,000 square feet. Groups of up to 500 can pick from an a la carte list of hands-on activities ranging from wine-making and barrel tastings to a discourse on moonshine or sushi-rolling. Tours are also available, concluding with wine tastings from a prominent barrel wall of aging wines. Groups can arrange off-site tours and excursions as well as in-house samplings, chef demonstrations and classes such as grape stomping.   • Meeting planners can take advantage of the Personal Planning Center at the JW Marriott Las Vegas to help facilitate offsite activities in conjunction with meetings or events. One of the services available is the Executive Golf Desk, where golf specialists reserve priority rounds on 11 of Las Vegas’ courses. The site includes a photo gallery, links to other area organizations, detailed area information, information about meeting facilities and convention services, links to all of the major downtown convention hotels, and news about Bellevue hotel, retail and commercial developments.   • The Omni San Diego Hotel recently introduced its Green Meetings initiatives.

    A sampling of green opportunities include waiving the valet charge for attendees driving hybrid vehicles, sourcing hybrid cars for airport transfers and providing recycle bins at the close of each meeting day. The hotel’s executive chef, Timothy Ralphs, will create an organic menu utilizing seasonal fare sourced from local sellers, and leftover food from meetings can be donated to a local food bank.
