- Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is completing a renovation of the former Doubletree Hotel in Westwood, Los Angeles, and reopening it as the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles, a spinoff of its San Francisco property of the same name. The 18-story hotel was remodeled throughout, increasing the existing suite count. - Vacation Village Hotel in Laguna Beach recently developed its first executive meeting suite for up to 12 people. The 900-square-foot suite, with views of the Pacific, offers a 10-foot conference table, 42-inch wall-mounted flat-screen television, which can also be used as a computer monitor, and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Pacific Edge, the hotel’s beachfront venue, is also available for larger events, accommodating up to 65 people.
