Anaheim

  • Anaheim GardenWalk (www.anaheimgardenwalk.com), an outdoor shopping and dining development, unveiled its first phase of restaurants in November. The 440,000-square-foot center will hold its grand opening this month.

  • A $20 million renovation at the Anaheim Marriott (714.750.8000; www.marriott.com) is scheduled for completion in October. The project includes upgrades to all guest rooms and suites, guest corridors and the lounge.

  • Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa (714.956.6425; www.disneyland.com) is undergoing an expansion that will add 200 guest rooms. The project is slated to be finished in 2009.

  • The recently expanded Hyatt Regency Orange County (714.750.1234; www.hyatt.com) is set to receive an additional $11 million in enhancements throughout this year.

  • The Hilton Anaheim (714.750.4321; www.hilton.com) began a multimillion-dollar renovation last July. The property is upgrading its public space, ballrooms and all 1,572 guest rooms this year.

Irvine
  • The Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport (949.833.9999; www.hilton.com) finished a $10 million renovation that included a new 2,000-square-foot ballroom and a new garden terrace.

Coastal Orange County
  • The Resort at Pelican Hill (www.pelicanhill.com) is due to open this fall between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. It will offer 204 guest rooms and more than 20,000 square feet of function space.

  • The Radisson Hotel Newport Beach (949.833.0570; www.radissonnewportbeach.com) plans to finish a $10 million renovation to all guest rooms and common areas in June.

  • The Strand (323.860.4900), a mixed-use development overlooking Huntington Beach Pier, is slated to open this winter. It will feature approximately 100,000 square feet of retail and office space and the Shorebreak Hotel (800.738.7477; www.jdvhotels.com), operated by San Francisco-based Joie de Vivre Hospitality. The hotel will have 157 guest rooms and suites, 3,000 square feet of meeting and event space and a 7,000-square-foot multiuse courtyard.

  • Scheduled to open in 2010, Pacific City (www.pacificcityhb.com), an oceanside village with residences, shops and restaurants, will connect the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa and the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort with downtown Huntington Beach. Pacific City will include the 250-room W Huntington Beach (www.starwoodhotels.com).

  • The Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort (714.845.8000; www.hilton.com) in Huntington Beach completed a $10 million room renovation and unveiled Shades Restaurant & Bar.

  • The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa (714.698.1234; www.hyatt.com) is renovating its Pacific Waters Spa to add an outdoor relaxation area with a hot tub and fireplace set to open this spring. This summer, a new activity pool will debut with water slides and a play area for children.
