Greater Portland

  • The Nines
  • (800.325.3589; www.starwoodhotels.com), a 331-room hotel that will be part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection, is scheduled to open in downtown Portland this summer. The hotel will feature a 7,000-square-foot ballroom and 7,000 square feet of additional meeting and banquet space.

  • A 136-room aloft hotel (877.GO.ALOFT; www.alofthotels.com) is scheduled to open this summer in Cascade Station, a mixed-use development near Portland International Airport.

  • The 140-room Hotel Fifty (503.221.0711; www.hotelfifty.com), formerly the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Downtown Portland, is wrapping up a major renovation.

  • Last year, the former 5th Avenue Suites Hotel became the Hotel Monaco (503.222.0001; www.monaco-portland.com) following a $4 million renovation.

  • The 174-room Hotel Modera (503.221.1611; www.hotelmodera.com), formerly the Portland Inn City Center, will open in June following a property-wide renovation. The hotel will feature 2,400 square feet of meeting space.

  • The Resort at The Mountain (503.622.3101; www.theresort.com), located at the base of Mt. Hood in Welches, was acquired by Coastal Investors, an affiliate of Coastal Hotel Group. The property plans to finish a $14 million renovation this fall.

Willamette Valley

  • The 103-room Oregon Garden Resort (800.966.6490; www.moonstonehotels.com) will open in Silverton in September with a spa and three meeting rooms.

  • The Allison (503.537.2000; www.springbrookproperties.com) is slated to open on 450 acres in Newberg in spring 2009. The 85-room hotel will include a spa and a conference center holding up to 200 people.

Central Oregon
  • The Sunriver Resort (541.593.1000; www.sunriver-resort.com) near Bend recently unveiled Caldera Park and Golf Links, a nine-hole golf course.

  • A Sleep Inn (877.424.6423; www.sleepinn.com) with 74 guest rooms and conference space is scheduled to open in August in Redmond.
