  • The Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa recently completed a $4.2 million renovation that included guest room upgrades and spa and fitness center redesigns. Plasma flat-screen televisions were installed in guest rooms, while private treatments rooms were given a makeover at the spa. The resort features 219 rooms and 20,500 square feet of meeting space.   • In March the 125-room Hilton Garden Inn Tucson Airport debuted.   • San Francisco’s 529-room Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf completed a $33 million renovation, adding 9,000 square feet of meeting space, including a new ballroom and outdoor courtyard. The primary improvement to the hotel’s meeting space is the addition of the 2,731-square-foot Embarcadero Room, including an outdoor foyer and an outdoor living room and fire pits. The hotel’s existing meeting space includes the 2,278-square-foot Presidio Ballroom and the 2,196-square-foot Marina Ballroom. In addition, two breakout rooms are also being renovated and an outdoor courtyard adjacent to the Marina Ballroom will be completely re-landscaped.   • The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa recently completed an upgrade of its meeting and event facilities. The multimillion-dollar renovation includes upgrades to all 10 conference and banquet rooms—a total of 17,000 square feet of indoor event space. The main ballroom can accommodate groups of up to 300. The facilities offer views of the Monterey Bay as well as access to 30,000 square feet of outdoor plaza and terrace space. The outdoor plaza can host groups as large as 600. The hotel also features the Vista Blue Spa, located on the penthouse level, also the location for three luxury suites ranging in size from 1,400 to 2,100 square feet.   • Hyatt Regency Monterey completed a $45 million, three-phase transformation, setting the stage for the property to become Monterey’s largest luxury conference resort. The renovation began last year with the complete redesign of the lobby, lounge and restaurant, while hotel renovations to all 575 guest rooms, including 32 suites, are slated for completion at the end of May.
