Illinois

  • Benchmark Hospitality International promoted Greg Parsons to vice president and general manager of the Eaglewood Resort & Spa, near Chicago. In his new role, Parsons is also overseeing the Council House Conference Center and Wingspread Conference Center, both managed by Benchmark and located in Racine, Wis. Parsons will also assume senior level oversight responsibilities for Benchmark Hospitality’s The Founders Inn and Spa, located in Virginia Beach, Va. Parsons previously held the title of managing director of Eaglewood Resort & Spa.

  • Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts appointed Michael Nenner director of rooms of The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, (A Four Seasons Hote). In his role, Nenner will oversee the reservations, housekeeping, concierge, and guest services departments. Prior to his appointment, Nenner served as director of rooms for The Cloister Hotel at Sea Island, managing over 250 employees. Prior to The Cloister Hotel, Nenner worked as director of rooms at The San Ysidro Ranch in San Ysidro, Calif., helping the property through a $120 million renovation. His other experience includes five years at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he worked as assistant resort manager as well as director of guest services.

Indiana
  • White Lodging, based in Merrillville, added two new regions to its Hospitality Management Division and appointed three regional vice presidents. Dave Montrose is overseeing property locations in northwest Indiana as well as Chicago-area suburbs. A 22-year hospitality industry veteran, Montrose spent the last 12 years at White Lodging, and has worked as general manager of various properties within the company, including the Courtyard Marriott in Valparaiso and the Midway Hampton Inn. John Randall is overseeing the development of 12 properties and will spearhead efforts in downtown Chicago; Midway Airport; Benton Harbor and Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Mishawaka, Fort Wayne and South Bend, Ind. Randall previously served for over 20 years with Marriott International, most recently as general manager of the Hickory Ridge Marriott Conference Hotel. Brad Haas is serving as regional vice president for hotels in the Grand Junction, Colo.; Salt Lake City; San Antonio and Sugar Land, Texas; and Phoenix areas. Haas started with White Lodging in 1995 and held numerous positions within the company, including regional director of training and recruiting, lead general manager for Austin South Cluster in Texas, and general manager for the Holiday Inn Austin Northwest.

Michigan
  • Timothy P. Freisen, a Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide associate since 1999, was named general manager for the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, due to open this October. Prior to his new appointment, Freisen was general manager of the Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Missouri
  • Steve Wilson was appointed general manager of the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront, formally the Adam’s Mark Hotel. Wilson previously served as general manager of the Hyatt Regency Union Station in St. Louis, and has also held positions with Hyatts in Houston and Atlanta.

  • Brian Morris was named director of sales and management of the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront. Morris has worked with Hyatt since 1989, first in food and beverage and operations before transferring into sales in 1996. Morris has worked with the brand in Indian Wells, Calif.; Maui, Hawaii; Seattle; Phoenix; and Wichita, Kan.
