A 185-room Hilton (www.hilton.com) is set to break ground in downtown Charleston adjacent to Marion Square later this year. It will offer 5,000 square feet of meeting space.
Midtown (www.regentpartners.com), a mixed-use project, is slated to launch a 250-room luxury hotel property in the trendy Upper King Street Design District. It will open in 2010 and offer 8,000 square feet of meeting space, 35,000 square feet of retail and more than 140 condos.
The 136-room aloft Charleston Airport & Convention Center (843.566.7300; www.starwood.com) is scheduled to open in September with a 500-square-foot boardroom.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport/Convention Center (912.272.9122; www.hilton.com) is set to open this month with 128 guest rooms and an 1,140-square-foot meeting room.
Renaissance Charleston Hotel Historic District (843.534.0300; www.marriott.com) recently underwent a complete renovation. The property offers 162 guest rooms and 2,800 square feet of meeting space.
The historic Mills House (843.577.2400; www.ichotelsgroup.com) completed restorations to all 214 guest rooms and public areas in 2007. The 19th century hotel offers more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space.
Holiday Inn Historic District (843.805.7900; www.charlestonhotel.com) is constructing 35 more rooms and additional meeting space. The property currently has 126 guest rooms and three meeting rooms.
Hilton Garden Inn Charleston Airport (843.308.9330; www.hilton.com) plans to unveil 40 additional guest rooms and 2,500 square feet of meeting space this month. With the additions, the property will offer 168 guest rooms and 5,500 square feet of meeting space.
