- Houston recently introduced CityPass, a discounted ticket booklet featuring access to the city’s main attractions. Attractions include Space Center Houston on the grounds of NASA, Downtown Aquarium, Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the George Ranch Historical Park. The booklet also contains attraction information, transportation directions, best times to visit, a map and details from the pages of National Geographic Traveler. - American Bank Center Arena recently debuted its Gentlemen Jack Lounge, located on the second floor of the arena. The lounge is an upscale venue for club members and suite holders during events and can also serve as a locale to bring clients, hold meetings and host receptions. - Greater Fort Lauderdale is offering summer savings for groups. For the months of August and September, from 2008 to 2010, planners will receive free rental of all floor space at the Broward County Convention Center when they contract a minimum of 600 rooms on peak nights. Planners booking meetings of greater than 20 rooms per night traveling from July to September will receive “Greater Fort LauderDEAL” group rates. - Florida’s Ritz-Carlton, Naples is offering its Nature’s Wonders program to groups. The program, led by a team of certified master naturalists, is designed to promote awareness and respect of Florida’s environment, while also providing an understanding of how to live more sustainably. The center can host group receptions and cocktail parties for up to 40 guests. The sanctuary offers nine aquariums, including two touch tanks. The remaining tanks bring to life the reef and offshore ecosystems, hosting sharks, baby alligators and an eel.
