APEX Learning

More Coverage

APEX industry drivers of compliant services say educated consumers (both planners and suppliers) make the best buyers. In other words, knowledgeable users benefit themselves, their organizations and the meetings industry as they gain expertise.

Following are some resources for making APEX a strategic partner:

Web resources: www.conventionindustry.org/apex

Industry events: If your meetings industry association chapter isn’t using APEX templates to plan events, start now. It’s a good learning process you can carry over to the planning tasks where you live.

Social media: Participate in online APEX social media groups on LinkedIn and Facebook.

Volunteer: APEX staff occasionally calls for help with specific tasks, such as leading industry discussions (geographically or virtually based) about APEX initiatives and standards, or launching and marketing a new product.

APEX E-News: Sign up for this quarterly online update by sending an e-mail with “ADD” in the subject line to apex@conventionindustry.org.

Customized educational sessions: Contact APEX director Sue Tinnish (847.394.9857; sue@suetinnish.com) to book a customized (tailored to your needs and audience) seminar for a meeting, regional conference or chapter event. Eight new sessions include the following topics: an introductory program; a session on elevating your current planning practices to conform to industry standards; better planning via APEX for greater efficiencies; case studies with planner/supplier teams who have benefited from APEX; how to maximize your own influence to drive industry standardization changes with suppliers and others; and a supplier perspective session on adoption of APEX.
