• Randy Bayard was named general manager of the Vero Beach Hotel & Club. Bayard has more than 30 years of experience and has served as general manager of a number of Florida’s hotels and spas. He was most recently the general manager of Intrawest Resorts in Pensacola, where he oversaw two luxury beachfront destination resorts, Portofino Island Resort & Spa and Beach Club. Bayard has also worked for Watercolor & WaterSound Resorts in Santa Rosa Beach, Hilton Longboat Key Beachfront Resort in Longboat Key, Amelia Island Plantation in Amelia Island, and Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa… Tom Grimes was named general manager of the new Hilton Garden Inn Palm Coast at Town Center. Grimes most recently served as general manager for the Hampton Inn and Suites in Palm Coast. Previously, Grimes was operations and marketing manager for RMS Hospitality, where he managed both independent and franchised hotel brands. Grimes also worked as director of sales and marketing for the Samoset Resort in Rockland, Maine, and director of sales and convention services for the Boston Park Plaza.

• The Chattanoogan hired Jerald Hudson as sales manager. Hudson is responsible for business development in Atlanta and other key regional markets. Before joining The Chattanoogan, Hudson was the national sales manager at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. He also spent almost two years as the corporate sales manager at the hotel. Prior to his work at the Peabody Hotel, Hudson held several positions at Memphis Marriott Hotel, including corporate sales manager, executive meeting manager and front desk manager. In addition, he served in several management positions at Fort Magruder Inn and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Va.

• Mark Wilson was appointed director of sales and marketing of The Roosevelt in New Orleans, which will be reopened as a Waldorf=Astoria Collection hotel in the spring 2009. Wilson most recently served as the director of marketing of the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans and has held various management positions in New Orleans at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside, ITT Sheraton and Fairmont. In St. Louis, Wilson was vice president of sales and marketing for Adam’s Mark Hotels.

• Holly Mawyer was named director of sales and marketing for the Clifton Inn in Charlottesville. Jessica Shirley was hired as group sales manager for the property. Shirley was most recently at Charlottesville’s Boar’s Head Inn and has over eight years of experience in hospitality, catering and sales.

• Benchmark Hospitality International appointed Michael Hager general manager for Stonewall Resort, located near Roanoke. Hager comes to Stonewall Resort from the Peacock Hotel & Spa in Greenville, S.C., where he served as director of hotel operations. Throughout his career, Hager has held senior management positions at such properties as The Greenbrier, located in White Sulphur Springs, Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, and Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort in Chester. He also participated in the development of hotel and conference facilities for Charles Pointe, a master-planned community in north-central West Virginia.
