What are three great nightlife venues you would recommend for an off-site group event in Indianapolis?
  • Indiana State Museum: The first one I would recommend is Indiana State Museum. It’s perfect for large events in the evening, and with three floors, there are numerous wonderful opportunities for creativity, from a summer evening reception at the Canal Cafe and Terrace, to grand banquets in the Great Hall. The space is very functional, plus they have a great caterer. The museum is located on the canal and accessible to the downtown area.

  • Indiana Roof Ballroom: My second recommendation is Indiana Roof Ballroom, which is so neat and beautiful. With the Spanish Baroque architecture, nothing has to be done to the decor for an event. It has amazing lighting, the ambience is gorgeous, and it’s perfect for any upscale gala. This amazing property is definitely one of my favorites, and it’s great for holiday parties as well. Also, you can use the space almost like an exhibit floor, since the facility has very functional space.

  • Dolphin Adventure Gallery: Finally, I’d recommend the Dolphin Adventure Gallery at the Indianapolis Zoo. Some people don’t associate a zoo with upscale events, but this is just one of those places you can do so much with. People love to be close to the aquarium, and the views from the underwater dolphin-viewing dome are beautiful. Plus, they have a caterer on-site and all the necessary amenities, along with several other unique spaces, including one that allows guests to touch a live shark in the shark pool.
