What are three culturally rich off-site venues you would recommend for groups meeting in Pasadena?

  • The Historic Castle Green: The castle was built in 1899 and originally served as a popular resort hotel for U.S. presidents, dignitaries and other prominent guests. The seven-story landmark reflects an eclectic combination of architectural styles, including Moorish, Victorian and Spanish Revival. The main floor is available for weddings, film shoots, private parties and other special events. Reception capacity is 400, and banquet capacity is 220.

  • Pacific Asia Museum: This museum is housed in a Chinese Imperial-style building built in 1929. The museum surrounds an authentic Chinese courtyard containing a koi pond, rock sculpture, graceful trees and plants that reflect the beauty of the changing seasons. The gallery represents the work of contemporary Asian and Asian-American artists, as well as artists whose work is directly influenced by the arts and cultures of Asia and the Pacific Rim. As a meeting space, the museum features an auditorium that seats nearly 100 and a courtyard that can hold 100 banquet guests and 300 for reception events. It also has a Garden View Gallery that can host 40 people.

  • Pasadena Museum of History: The Fenyes Estate and Garden, built in 1905, still contains all of its original furnishings that add a backdrop of period elegance and Old World charm to an elegant alfresco setting. The Curtin House Drawing Room (capacity 60) features rich hardwood floors and ornate fireplaces. It’s perfect for meetings or luncheons. The History Center Galleries, featuring two 1,000-square-foot art galleries and the adjoining Giddings Conference Room (capacity 70) offers a versatile indoor setting for parties or business gatherings. In addition, the Fenyes Mansion Foyer can host up to 50 guests, and the garden can host 200 people.
