What are three of the best ways to experience the natural beauty of the Poconos?

  • Big Pocono State Park: This is one of the best ways to get back to nature and see the beautiful Pocono Mountains. There is truly something for everyone as you can hike, bike, horseback ride and even hunt. There is over 1,300 acres of rugged terrain that offers almost nine miles of trails for beginners to the experienced hiker. The park presents magnificent views of eastern Pennsylvania as well as portions of New York and New Jersey. A portion of the park has been developed into Camelback Resort, which offers Cameltop, a restaurant at the summit, as well as Camelback Ski Resort and Camelbeach Water Park.

  • Bushkill Falls: Often referred to as the “Niagara of Pennsylvania,” Bushkill Falls is one of the most serene and famous attractions in the area. Trek through hiking trails and walk over the bridges and you can gaze upon the exquisite views of the many falls, including the main falls, dropping over a 100-foot cliff. What is great is that there are other areas of interest while you are there. You can mine for gemstones, play a round of miniature golf, take a paddle boat out and even fish.

  • Canoeing on the Delaware with Chamberlain Canoes: There is nothing like drifting down the Delaware River as the leaves on the trees are changing to red, orange and gold. It is absolutely one of the most relaxing and scenic activities that you won’t forget. Take a canoe out for the day or turn your trip into a multiday excursion and camp under the stars. This family-owned business has over 30 years of experience and you couldn’t be in more capable hands.
