Baltimore
- The Baltimore Convention Center (410.649.7000; www.bccenter.org) is continuing its efforts to become LEED-certified. The venue is transforming its 27,500-square-foot outdoor terrace into a “green roof,” the first in a series of green projects planned.
- The Hilton Baltimore (443.573.8700; www.baltimore.hilton.com), connected via an enclosed skybridge to the Baltimore Convention Center, opened in August 2008 with 757 rooms and 60,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and features 10 hospitality suites with balconies overlooking the ballpark.
- Baltimore will welcome its first LEED-certified hotel this June with the opening of the 154-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott-Inner Harbor (410.659.7300; www.marriott.com).
- The 135-room Hotel Indigo-Baltimore (443.716.4500; www.ichotelsgroup.com) will open this summer with an in-house gourmet restaurant and Starbucks.
- The Hotel Monaco Baltimore (800.546.7866; www.kimptonhotels.com) is scheduled to open in July 2009. The property, located in the historic former B&O Railroad headquarters, will feature 202 guest rooms and suites and 6,000 square feet of meeting space.
- The Holiday Inn Inner Harbor (410.685.3500; www.innerharborhi.com) is nearing completion of a $7 million renovation, including updates to all meeting space.
- The Courtyard by Marriott Ocean City (410.289.5008; www.marriott.com) is scheduled to open in May with 91 guest rooms and meeting space for up to 80 people.
- The Hilton Suites Ocean City Oceanfront (410.289.6444; www.oceancityhilton.com) recently opened with 225 suites, a meeting room and the 32 Palm restaurant.
- Five Gables Inn & Spa (410.745.0100; www.fivegables.com) in St. Michaels recently unveiled a private meeting room for up to 12 people.
- Harbourtowne Golf Resort & Conference Center (410.745.9066; www.harbour towne.com) in St. Michaels recently renovated its guest rooms and meeting space.
- The historic Tidewater Inn (410.822.1300; www.tidewaterinn.com) in Easton recently replaced the pool located off the John Moll Boardroom and the Crystal Room with a garden so both rooms open to outdoor space.
- The Fountains Wedding & Conference Center (410.749.5445; www.fountainsinc.com) recently opened in Salisbury. The conference center, featuring state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, can host meetings for up to 500 people.
