The 1,572-room Hilton Anaheim (714.740.4318; www.hilton.com) completed a $70 million renovation in January. The project upgraded nearly every aspect of the property and added a new restaurant. There is 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including two 28,500-square-foot ballrooms and 51 breakout rooms. There is also a 25,000-square-foot fitness facility.
Anaheim Marriott (714.750.8000; www.marriott.com) is in the midst of a $22 million upgrade of its 1,030 guest rooms. The property has 82,000 square feet of meeting space.
Sheraton Garden Grove-Anaheim South Hotel (714.703.8400; www.starwoodhotels.com) recently opened with 285 guest rooms and 10,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is a short shuttle ride away from Disneyland Resort.
Irvine
The 132-room Springhill Suites by Marriott (www.marriott.com) will be Irvine’s first green hotel when it opens in 2010.
Costa Mesa
Westin South Coast Plaza (714.540.2500; www.starwoodhotels.com) recently completed a $20 million renovation of its 393 guest rooms and public space. The property has 26,000 square feet of meeting space plus a 5,100-square-foot pavilion.
Newport Beach
The 500-acre Resort at Pelican Hill (949.467.6800; www.pelicanhill.com) opened in November. The resort features 128 villas, 204 bungalow suites, a spa with 22 treatment rooms, several fine-dining restaurants, 36 holes of golf and 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
Hyatt Regency Newport Beach (949.729.1234; www.hyatt.com) recently completed a $2.3 million renovation of its 26,000 square feet of meeting and outdoor function space. There are 403 guest rooms, most with private balconies and many with bay views.
Newport Beach Bayview Marriott (949.509.6049; www.marriott.com) recently finished an $8 million renovation of its 254 guest rooms. The hotel has 3,200 square feet of meeting space.
Huntington Beach
Shorebreak Hotel (714.861.4470; www.jdvhotels.com), a new Joie de Vivre property, is slated to open in April. There will be 157 guest rooms and 8,000 square feet of meeting space. The property is a member of the Green Hotels Association.
Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach (714.698.1234; www.hyatt.com) will open a new outdoor water activity area with waterslides in April. The spa and restaurant were also recently updated. The property offers 517 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort (714.845.8448; www.hilton.com) recently finished a $10 million upgrade to its interiors and launched a new restaurant, Shades. The hotel has 290 guest rooms and its largest meeting space measures 5,400 square feet.
Laguna Beach
Boutique hotel Seven4One (877.741.9283; www.seven4one.com) recently opened on Pacific Coast Highway. There are 10 guest rooms and two ocean-view suites. An outdoor courtyard, a terrace and a boardroom are available for meetings.
