Salt Lake City
- At press time, the Little America Hotel (801.596.5700; www.littleamerica.com/slc) was planning to finish renovations to its 22,000 square feet of meeting space by May 11.
- Salt City Plaza (605.229.8632; www.utahhospitality.com) is a mixed-use development featuring retail space and four branded hotels. A 311-room Royal Garden Inn, an existing property on the site, will be incorporated into the project, and the development will build an additional 231 rooms for a total of 542 rooms. The properties are expected to come on-line sometime in 2010.
- The 128-room Hyatt Place Salt Lake City/Downtown/The Gateway (801.456.6300; www.saltlakecitydowntown.place.hyatt.com) is scheduled to open July 31.
Park City
- Dakota Mountain Lodge (435.647.5500; www.dakotamountainlodge.com) is slated to debut in July as the Waldorf=Astoria Collection’s first ski resort property. It will open at The Canyons Resort and include 202 rooms, 15,000 square feet of meeting space, a 20,000-square-foot Golden Door Spa, a signature restaurant and lounge, and screening rooms designed to suit the Sundance Film Festival. Outdoor space will be available for events.
- St. Regis Deer Crest Resort (435.940.5700; www.stregisdeercrest.com) is expected to open in October with 181 rooms, approximately 6,000 square feet of event space, including a 2,900-square-foot ballroom, and a spa.
- Montage Deer Valley (435.200.0444; www.montagedeervalley.com) is set to open at Deer Valley Resort in November 2010. The resort will offer 126 guest rooms and 47 suites, as well as a 35,000-square-foot spa and 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
