Milwaukee
- aloft Milwaukee (877.GO.ALOFT; www.starwoodhotels.com) will open in December in the Park East area near the Milwaukee RiverWalk. The hotel will have 160 guest rooms as well as meeting space.
- The Iron Horse Hotel (414.374.4766; www.theironhorsehotel.com) is a new 102-room boutique property that caters to both business and leisure travelers, especially motorcycle enthusiasts. Located across the river from the Harley-Davidson Museum, it offers covered cycle parking and an on-site bike wash, among many other unique amenities for bikers. Meeting spaces include the War Room for 14 people and the 425-square-foot Sand Box for brainstorming and breakout sessions.
- Staybridge Suites Milwaukee Airport South (414.761.3800; www.stayfranklin.com) opened in January with 118 guest rooms and 1,200 square feet of meeting space.
- Hyatt Regency Milwaukee (414.276.1234; www.milwaukee.hyatt.com) completed an $18 million property-wide renovation that includes its 483 guest rooms and the addition of a new lobby restaurant and bar.
- Hilton Milwaukee City Center (414.271.7250; www.milwaukeecitycenter.hilton.com) is undergoing a major renovation of its lobby, guest rooms, meeting rooms, restaurants and exterior elements.
- Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Park Place (414.359.9823; www.hiltongardeninn.com) plans to finish a restaurant renovation this month.
- Potawatomi Bingo Casino (800. PAYSBIG; www.paysbig.com) now has 750,000 square feet of gaming, dining and entertainment space following a recent expansion project.
Waukesha & Pewaukee
- The Clarke Hotel (262.549.3800; www.theclarkehotel.com) opened as a luxury boutique property with 20 guest rooms and a ballroom that accommodates 150 guests. The guest suites have spa bathrooms, king beds with luxury linens, wireless Internet and fold-down work stations. The Black Trumpet restaurant serves French fare and features scenic views of historic downtown Waukesha.
- The Milwaukee Marriott West (262.547.0888; www.marriott.com/MKEMW) is upgrading its 281 guest rooms with new bedding and flat-screen TVs. New equipment was also added to the hotel’s fitness center.
- Country Springs Hotel Water Park Conference Center (262.547.0201; www.countryspringshotel.com) completed a renovation of its 187 guest rooms and lobby. Besides new soft goods, guest rooms now feature flat-screen TVs, refrigerators and microwaves.
