Checking In - West September 2009

The September issue of Meetings West is chock-full of treats, featuring everything from some of the tremendous deals available at winter mountain destinations to destinations that are emerging as top regional draws.

Our WOW! L.A. section provides a truly non-saccharine taste of the Southland through the palate of Candy Spelling, wife of the most famous television producer in history, the late Aaron Spelling. Candy gives us a tour of her favorite L.A. haunts through the eyes of a fourth-generation Los Angeleno. From Hollywood and Chinatown to Olvera Street, Spelling calls L.A. a "city of tradition that’s changing all the time."

But while Tinseltown and environs are never short on contemporary flash, L.A. also values its history, as evidenced by the loving restoration of many of its historic theaters.

Continuing on the topic of restoration—and never being one to let an opportunity for a segue slip by—be sure to check out our redesigned website, MeetingsFocus.com. We’ve added an interactive map and the opportunity for you to chime in with your opinions on virtually every aspect of our enterprise.

Give it a look and tell us what you think.
