Describe your event. It was a Lance-hosted business meeting for approximately 125 attendees at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island.

Why did you decide to host the meeting on Hilton Head Island? Location, location, location. Hilton Head Island is close to our headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.

What surprised you the most about Hilton Head Island? I have been there many times before for vacations and other events. I and the group love its warm hospitality and unique landscape.

What did your attendees seem to enjoy the most? They loved the Sea Pines Resort. I got positive feedback about the guest rooms, weather and the many things to do in between meetings. The island is also very family-friendly.

Was anybody particularly helpful? The whole Sea Pines staff was exceptional. Kathy Winings and the whole Hilton Head Island-Bluffton COC staff were helpful as well.

What were some of the unique off-site venues that you used for events or meetings? Hilton Head Island has a number of great golf options, so we golfed one afternoon.

How does Hilton Head Island compare to other places where you have hosted meetings? I travel and attend many conferences and meetings all over the country. This was our first meeting of this kind that our company hosted, and I rank Hilton Head Island as my top destination. 

Do you have any advice for other planners who might bring a meeting to Hilton Head Island? If you want something, don’t be afraid to ask for it. The folks on the island are very accommodating.
