  • The Fairfield Inn & Suites Twentynine Palms-Joshua Tree National Park opened in August. The 80-room all-suite hotel is part of a larger 10-acre mixed-use development. The 400-room property completed an extensive renovation of all guest rooms and its executive lounge and lobby last year. Each guest room is furnished with high-speed and wireless Internet access. Executive floor rooms feature upgraded in-room amenities as well as daily breakfast service and an evening hospitality hour in the Executive Lounge overlooking the San Francisco Bay.   • Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, in Kailua-Kona, in August unveiled the results of its 15-month, $40 million enhancement, showcasing 20 new suites, a spa transformation, a renovated beachfront bar, lounge and restaurant, and new retail boutiques. The resort’s 20 new one- and two-bedroom suites offer between 1,150 and 1,950 square feet of indoor-outdoor living space with expansive living rooms, balconies and ocean views. The transformed 28,000-square-foot Hualalai Spa integrates tropical gardens with interior spaces. Kupuna (island elders) shared their healing traditions and knowledge of native plants and minerals to help in the creation of Hualalai’s spa apothecary.   • Golden Nugget Las Vegas is taking reservations for a new hotel tower slated to debut in November. The $150 million Rush Tower will become the newest addition in the Golden Nugget’s renovation and expansion projects, which has totaled more than $300 million. Rush Tower will add nearly 500 guest rooms and suites to the hotel’s room options, with new guest rooms ranging from 439 square feet to one-bedroom parlor suites at 1,326 square feet. All rooms will feature 42-inch plasma televisions. The new tower will also bring with it a new dining experience, a Chart House Aquarium restaurant, with a 50,000-gallon tropical aquarium. There will also be a new swimming pool with six cabanas. The Rush Tower will expand the Golden Nugget’s casino offerings, adding more table and slot games.   • Mt. Hood’s Resort at The Mountain recently completed a $14 million renovation. Upgrades were made to the resort’s 157 guest rooms, suites and golf villas, adding wall-mounted flat-screen televisions and complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. The resort now features 18,000 square feet of meeting and event areas suitable for groups up to 750. Each meeting space comes equipped with high-speed Internet access. The makeover also includes the addition of The Spa, a new 3,500-square-foot spa featuring seven treatment rooms. The Courses, the resort’s 27-hole golf course, also received a $3.7 million upgrade and its Foxglove Nine received a $1.5 million overhaul.
