  • The Broadview Hotel (316.262.5000; www.broadview-hotel.com) is planning a $19 million renovation, which is expected to begin in March 2010. The 231-room hotel, which was built in 1922, will close for the upgrades and reopen sometime at the end of 2010 as a Drury Plaza hotel. Originally, owners planned on beginning the renovation late this summer, but the project was delayed while waiting for special tax credit funding. The hotel’s front door will be relocated to face the Arkansas River, and all guest rooms will be revamped. The property, which offers more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space, accommodates small meetings of 12 or groups as large as 1,200.

  • Best Western Eastgate Inn & Suites (316.682.3000; www.bestwestern.com) opened this summer. The hotel offers 65 rooms, complimentary Wi-Fi access, a business center and a fitness facility. The hotel also offers three rooms specifically designed for individuals with physical disabilities.

  • Hampton Inn & Suites Wichita Northeast (316.636.5594; www.hamptoninn.com) recently debuted. In addition to space for small meetings, the 102-room hotel includes a fitness center and a pool.

  • SpringHill Suites Wichita East at Plazzio (316.681.1800; www.marriott.com) recently opened in the Plazzio retail development. The mixed-use project includes an Art Deco-style movie theater, a number of restaurants, a Marriott Residence Inn and The Alley Indoor Entertainment Center. The Residence Inn and The Alley include meeting rooms.
    The SpringHill property offers space for small groups.

  • The 88-room Staybridge Suites Wichita (319.927.3888; www.ichotelsgroups.com) includes meeting space for small groups. The property is located near the city’s many aerospace manufacturers, as well as downtown Wichita, McConnell Air Force Base and Wichita State University.
